Investment project of Multifunctional clinic "Mytnitsa"

The activity of multifunctional medical clinic micro-district 'Mytnytsia' provided on the basis of extensive scientific cooperation with leading scientists and research institutions in Ukraine and abroad, phased program of expansion and support up to the mark of their medical services, training and education of professionals on the basis of European technology, in the future it is possible to create its own regional network.

The activity of multifunctional medical clinic as a form of intergovernmental professional cooperation, can become one of the factors, which are not only to promote development of modern medicine in the region of country but also gradual formation European image of Ukraine, as a state, which aspires to European standards in various fields of human activity.

In 2011, Interindustrial Corporation "Interstroy" of Ukrainian Union of Afghanistan War Veterans, as a part of "Expo" Group of Companies, practically completed construction of a multifunctional medical outpatient clinic in "Mytnitsa" district of Cherkassy. It is a unique 3,000 square meters medical facility, which will utilize medical technologies and equipment from Israel.

This clinic is a pilot Ukrainian project with the following distinctions:

• concentration of major clinical medical areas in one facility, including diagnostics, treatment, surgery, and day-patient department;
• use of modern medical equipment and treatment methods;
• diagnostics and online treatment with participation of Israeli and German specialists;
• introduction of medical management with medical services separated from cash-flow;
• serving of a geographical district with population of 40,000;
• utilizing of health insurance;
• significant social load – clinic is located in the district densely populated by labor and military veterans.

We have conducted consultations with the executives in Ministries of Economy and Finance of Ukraine as for possibility of applying state and municipal guarantees in execution of projects involving "Expo" Group of Companies.

We have also conducted preliminary negotiations with Israeli manufacturers of medical equipment and associated products (surgical kits, women's health testers, modern anesthesia) regarding possible supplies, design of equipment layout and the follow-up maintenance by Israeli specialists, and regarding pricing. We have reached provisional agreement with the leading Israeli insurance agencies as for support of this project, and studied experience of health insurance funds.

Together with Dnepropetrovsk State Medical Academy we defined the program of personnel attraction and retention, which includes providing of comfortable level of compensation and housing paid by the employer. We also reached the agreement with the Israeli side regarding methodological support and periodic continuous education of personnel.

By prior arrangement with the Department of Healthcare of Cherkassy City Council, our clinic will also perform functions of a district ambulatory clinic including the functions of emergency station and issuing of sick-leave certificates. Availability of appropriate licenses and warehouse space will enable development of pharmacological line of business.

The location of the facility also speaks in support of this project. The clinic is located on the bank of the Dnieper River, in the center of a residential neighborhood "Mytnitsa" with the population of 40,000. Availability of free space will allow construction of additional infrastructure – the blood bank, hotel and resort (for pre- and post-surgical services). Combined with continuous advertising by media-group "EXPO" all this gives confidence in significant perspectives of the project.

The total cost of the project is 10 million Euro, the payback period is 3 years. The completion of construction is 85%, with the remaining works of fine finish according to the approved plan of equipment layout. Demand for investments, depending on the cooperation format, ranges from 2,4 to 8,5 million Euro. Upon receipt of investments, the clinic will be commissioned in 10 months.

Expected annual profit is more than 3,5 million Euro. Commercial value of the clinic in the third year of operation will be more than 25 million Euro.
