"Integration of the coastline

in urban areas city of Cherkasy"

This project was developed with the participation of the partner companies Chapman-Taylor (UK) and Ardevelops LLC (Ukrainian-British Joint Venture), and with the participation of Cherkasy Development Agency and the municipal authorities of the city of Cherkassy.

Development Agency of Cherkassy in the residence of British Ambassador presented a concept of the development of Cherkassy with elements of the integration of the coastline in urban areas. 21 September 2010 City Development Agency has submitted a long-term project of reconstruction of the city, which offers a way of Cherkassy in the next twenty years. The project, created by a group of British and Ukrainian companies in collaboration with the executive committee of Cherkassy city council brings together the leading development companies. The total investment cost will be $ 1 billion, the funds will be drawn from various sources, including private and loan financing.

Sergey Odarich, Mayor of Cherkassy, said: "Public-Private Development Agency Cherkasy" in the same format as it did to our city - this is Ukraine's first example of a broad involvement of global companies renowned architects, financiers, investors and other successful professionals to develop the city. In the world there are several examples where it is due to this mechanism of cooperation of municipality and private companies, the city implemented a real breakthrough in its economic and cultural development. I am convinced that Cherkasy repeat that success. "

The concept of the city of Cherkasy with elements of the integration of the coastline in urban areas - is the only of its kind initiative, which we hope will become a model for restructuring other Ukrainian cities. The project will be the impetus for the urban economy and a good example of the application of international and local expertise through the involvement of leading companies and investors. The vision of the project and integrated approach to development of urban infrastructure will ensure the economic success of Cherkassy and attractiveness as a leisure and recreational cells for many years, and will create unique opportunities for all companies involved in the process.

Architectural support and the creation of a project implementation plan will provide an international architectural firm Chapman Taylor, the company's specialists Waterman will be responsible for engineering and design institute "Dipromisto" share the experience of zoning, urban areas in Ukraine. Company Gardiner & Theobald and Ardevelops, LLC will provide overall project management and expenditures. Development Agency of Cherkassy will coordinate the robot to the international building companies investment institutions, and will also work on the emergence of an enabling legal and regulatory environment to ensure the implementation of the project and protect the interests of the companies participating in the project.

In an annex to the resort and recreational area, which is already fairly developed, the concept of the city of Cherkasy with elements of the integration of the coastline in urban areas will contribute to the development of Cherkasy as the center of sport, leisure and recreation. The proposed plan seeks to promote the development and expansion of urban areas of leisure and recreation, maximize their value and attractiveness.
